- Foster the unity of South-South people in America.
- Laisse with South-South people all over the World to improve the life of the people e.g. scholarship, bore-hole, health, homelessness, etc.
- Be the leading voice of the people of South-South in the USA
- Notwithstanding any other provision of these articles, South-South shall not carry out any other activities not permitted by an exempt organization under section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Brief history
South South Forum, USA (South-South) in pursuit of the economic, educational, and socio-political development of the people; and in collaboration and liaison with leaders, other NGOs, and responsible Government all over the World hereby formed this organization.
The organization was formed July 23, 2019 with headquarters in Dallas TX, USA. A non-profit organization that adopts a holistic and sustainable approach to foster economic, socio-political, and educational cooperation among the people of South-South States of Nigeria and the USA.
South-South Forum USA derived its roots from South-South Organization (BRACED).
Structure of South-South Forum USA
The local chapter shall consist of at least five registered and active members of South-South residing in a proximate location in any state or city.
The national body of the forum consists of all the elected/appointed officials of South-South. The general assembly
sitting at the National Convention, the Board of Directors, Standing Committee members, and all other entities that shall be created from time to time.
VISION
Our vision is to be a continuing force for the economic and social development of the people.
Membership
This organization shall not discriminate based on age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, disability, veteran’s status, sexual orientation, or political affiliation. Membership of this organization shall be open to the public.
